The apartment is ideally located for travellers, a short walk or train ride to most major London attractions.
Within walking distance
Tower of London

The Tower of London is one of the most famous landmarks in the world, instantly recognisable...and only a short walk from the apartment. Its fame is well-earnt, with an exciting (and often bloody!) history. Not to be missed are the Crown Jewels, the White Tower and the armour of Henry VIII. It's well worth doing a tour led by a Yeoman Warder (a 'Beefeater') and hearing tales of treachery, torture and passion from the Tower's past.
Tower Bridge

Tower Bridge is another iconic landmark of London. Opened in 1894, it has become one of the best-known bridges in the world. As well as walking across the bridge, it's also worth going to the Tower Bridge Experience, where you can take a lift up to the two enclosed walkways across the top of the bridge, giving you a wonderful view of the Thames.
St Katherines Dock

HMS Belfast
The HMS Belfast is a former Royal Navy light cruiser which is now permanently anchored in the Thames near Tower Bridge. The Belfast saw action in the Second World War and was opened to the public as a tourist attraction in 1971.

Brick Lane
Brick Lane is a street in the heart of the East End. It's famous not only for its many curry houses, but also for being the site of the first of the eleven Whitechapel Murders attributed to Jack the Ripper. It is also one of the locations visited on the local Jack the Ripper nighttime walking tours.
Close but a little further, a longer walk or a short train trip

Walks
This is a wonderful area to walk. Stroll along the Thames embankment to The Tower of London, or cross Tower Bridge to Shad Thames. Do a Jack the Ripper walk and see the sights where the notorious murders occurred. Walk along The Thames to Canary Wharf or just wander the historic lanes and streets of Wapping.
